Can't wait to see how much the Yankees overpay to keep a soon to be 37-year old SS.

Perhaps winning the World Series last year softens the blow of this, but heads will still roll in NYC.

Great to see a team like the Rangers make it in there, but what was that crap they played in the stadium after they won??

idk...what has he done?...maybe I would recongnize a song...

the only country singer I can even think of right now is Garth Brooks...and I couldn't even tell you one of his songs...

I honestly couldn't even tell you where a "country bar" is here...and I live in Addison, which is ALL bars and clubs...where are they?...do they really exist?

I can't even remember the last time I saw someone in boots here...not even in high school...maybe NEVER

Of all the times I've been in the Dallas area, it seems like all of the real boot wearing, dip spittin' cowboys are in Fort Worth. The city of Dallas is a typical urban town to me.

Sidenote: I got a taste for some Pappadeaux. Some the best seafood i've ever had (Arlington, off the I-30)

ya, that's right by where it's all at if I remember correctly.

And I agree with you about Dallas vs. Fort Worth. I think that's probably a good thing. You can get a taste of both types of living within a 30 minutes drive (depending on traffic).

oh yea, Ft Worth is mos def the cowtown of the two. Of course the stockyards being there is probably why. Fun downtown area though.

I had a GF that worked at Pappadeaux. Its decent enough.

I'm just surprised ANY Texan wouldn't know who REK is. Dude is a damn institution down here.

should I be banned from the state?

he reminds me more of a Jimmy Buffett type though more than actual country music...even hough Buffett is "beach bum" music or whatever...it still comes off more funny or what not than serious...

yea you maybe should get a fine or something.

I can see the Jimmy Buffet comparison but he has some more serious stuff too. I just got lazy looking for it all.

and yea, I rarely make the drive to Ft Worth. I live right off lower Greenville and am a 25 minute walk from the DART line at Mockingbird Station so there is really no reason for me to drive anywhere when it comes to bars. Even then, if I do go over to The Loon in Uptown I am gonna cab it b/c their pours are so damn strong.
