It's just bad timing. It's hard not to re-sign a guy that won an MVP and has been a huge part of a winning team. Could be a really bad PR move for the casual fans to let him go. But to re-sign him when he's a large 1B at 31 years old? Tough call.

Yeah thats what I get for capitalizing his name instead of leaving it lowercase. Just playing on his name for the most part. Speaking of Werth, he wont be a Phillie next season. I hope Dom Brown is ready for the big leagues.

Outside the Braves, the NL east is kinda "meh" so the Phils will be back next year.
