Based on what we've seen this Season, I think it's safe to say Michael Vick
Based on what we've seen so far this season, I think it's pretty safe to say Michael Vick is the best QB in the NFL right now.
Now I'm not saying the best QB of all time, he'd have to comeback, win the Superbowl this season, and then he'd probably go down as the greatest QB of all time, but I'll wait until Vick wins the championship before I go around making that claim. I don't want to give anybody a reason to question my statements. When he wins the Superbowl, anybody who questions his All-Time best status will look like a complete fool.
As of right now, he's the best QB in the league. Hands down, bar-none. He's already become a better pocket passer than the NFL's top 3 QB's; Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, and Drew Brees. Add that to his pre existent run threat, and it's an absolute no brainer as to which QB is the best in the league right now.
Michael Vick hasn't thrown a pick all season. Manning, Brady, and Brees have all thrown multiple interceptions, some that even cost their teams when the game was on the line. Every pass Vick has thrown all season, were only catchable by his teammates. If his teammates couldn't catch it, then the opposing defense didn't have a chance at it.. That is what you call protecting the football my friend. Nobody in the league right now does it better, than Vick.
Sorry Colts, Patriots, and Saints fans. But your QB's have been surpassed by a man that just got out of prison last summer. That's all the time he needed to be molded into the best pocket passer in the league. He's like a prime Peyton Manning in the passing department, and then he's like a Chris Johnson in the run department, that is basically what makes Michael Vick who he is, today. He's a hybrid of the best running back, and the best quarterback in the league, all wrapped up into 1.
So how is Vick NOT the best QB in the league right now?
Re: Based on what we've seen this Season, I think it's safe to say Michael Vick
It usually takes more than 2 1/2 games to determine who the best QB in the league is.
And if you really want to base it on interceptions thrown, Mark Sanchez hasn't thrown one either.
Not to mention, Vick has throw less than 100 passes this season, making it even tougher to proclaim he is a "great pocket passer". Watch him play. Most of his throws are from OUT of the pocket.
I'd still take Brady, Brees, Manning, Rodgers over Vick any day.
