Laura Izibor- Shine
I saw her live in Dallas and she is amazing, gave a much better performance than Chrisette Michele despite being the opener and "lesser" artist. I also love her accent (Irish) and then found out she used to be an MVP-caliber hooper and that increased her sexy value with me to levels almost unheard of. If the music business was more about actual musical talent than marketing and sex appeal, she'd be a great deal more popular.
Janelle Monae- Smile
It's a Charlie Chaplin throwback from the silent films era (as is her whole style really), but I love how she performs it. She is on Bad Boy under P Diddy so I know she'll never be as popular as her talent level merits; again the industry and sex appeal, hype, etc. superceding actual musical talent.
Some of the above choices made me scratch my head though. I guess it was just that I interpreted as a song that was a "feel good" song due to his message, not just a song you like that makes you feel good because you like it. In that case, it'd just be a favorite song thread, but I guess that's my bad; semantics.
