FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reports that DeSean Jackson has a "severe" concussion, and memory loss.

Jackson's concussion is his second in less than a year.

He'll be out for a while. I saw it live, vicious hit.

that sucks dude...

all jokes aside, that just...well, that really sucks

makes me almost not mind wearing this avy...

I hope he is alright...as much as I hate the Eagles, the NFL is more fun with players like that around...

well it's good to know you have him in your prayers and have decided to wear his avy in his honor

1 more game until the bye so hopefully he'll only miss the 1 game. Basically get 3 weeks to recover.

For as much talk about how DeSean is afraid to go across the middle now you know why.

They'll probably sit him the next game, then have him come back after the bye. That's 3 whole weeks to recover.

They should enforce more strict disciplinary action for helmet to helmet hits. Like an automatic ejection for the first hit, then a game or so suspension after then next, etc.

not trying to start an arguement in here but I think 3 weeks is very wishful thinking...

if he doesn't remember the game...then wow, I don't see doctors and the NFL in general taking that lightly...

Doesn't say he doesn't remember the game. Could just be the play he doesn't remember or the few plays before it. Kolb doesn't remember the play he got his concussion on.

If he needs more time than the next game and the bye I think it'll be because they're being safe with this being his 2nd concussion since last December. Last one was less of a vicious hit though and he only missed a game. This hit was just crazy, knocked Robinson out too.

This is why you don't send guys like that over the middle. Send your big guys, not the speedsters.

The NFL is babying it's players too much. He should've been thrown right back in the game for the 4th quarter. They're so quick to call any hit, a concussion.

They have helmets on, it's physically impossible to get a concussion when you're wearing full pads and a helmet. He probably just got the wind knocked out of him.

It's football people. It's a man's sport. If you get hurt in 1 play, or after 1 hit, you shouldn't be a in the league anyway. That's what happens when you let 5'10" 180lb players like DeSean Jackson into the league. There used to be a height and weight requirement for the NFL, but now they're letting people who are physically prone to getting hurt, into the league like it's no big deal. Then everyone acts surprised when these players actually get hurt.

I honestly don't get it.

that's a real serious hit jackson took.

some thoughts linger in my mind atlanta told robinson to "take him out the game", because jackson was killing the falcons in the 1st quarter, but i'm sure that didn't happen.

good luck to jackson.

It actually wasn't a helmet to helmet hit.

He was hit below the helmet, in the right shoulder area.

I saw the play and thought it was a H2H hit until I saw the replay.
