Default Groin injuries?

Had an aau tournament this weekend... it was brutal refs were awful and on sunday we had to come in cold and play at 9 am and 10 back to back. In the second game we only had like 7 guys so I was bringing it up against full pressure everytime with guys all over me. On one play I crossed over, got by the guy and then just got flattened and ended up backwards. I was fine when I got up but when I tried to run again my groin started hurting. Anyone have any experience with this injury; how long it took, what to do to help? Any tips are appreciated, thanks

dam those suck, especially since they connect to your hip flexors. Really effects your lateral movements. Good news is for me I think it only took about 1.5-2 weeks to fully heal. I was doing treatment and taking ibuprofen too.

yea best thing to do for quicker healing is hot rub and massage along with the ibuprofen should be less than a weak. And try not to participate in high level activities and you'll be good.

a combination of Ice, warming, massaging, and light exercise when in inflammation subsides. You don't need to take IBprofen if you are already taking advil. IB profen has been shown in studies to slow down the healing process slightly... that's why it's better just to ice because it's a natural anti inflammatory, but I don't know how much it really matters. Remember, Drugs don't really heal anything, they just mask problems.
