Q's Quote: "After an impressive rookie debut by Blake Griffin and an atrocious loss, I can see the Clippers bouncing back, or letting the struggles spill over to this game. Warriors just dropped 132 points on the Rockets too."
Q's Key To The Game:
Control the paint. With Biedrins and Lee being the Warriors real only options up front, Clippers need to attack the paint and get them in foul trouble.
REBOUND. Against a Greg Oden & Joel Pryzbilla-less Blazers team, the Clippers got outrebounded by TEN. Lee & Biedrins are both good rebounders as they combined for 26 against the Rockets. Kaman and the rest of the bigs need to box them out.
Blake Griffin Factor. Blake was a beast in his debut, dropping 20/14/4, hustling with 39 seconds left and being all over the place. In a fast paced game against the Warriors, Clippers need to attack through Blake. Not Baron, not Eric and not Chris but Blake.
After an atrocious start, the Clippers have been playing better, but still very sloppy on the court with turnovers and defensive rotations along with rebounding being a key. Breaking down the box score:
Blake was limited to 13 minutes due to foul trouble, but still a solid 7/6/3. Gordon has 9 but is 4-11 from the field (1-6 from three). Kaman put up a solid 9/6 but is 3-9 from the field and has made many mistakes and let Biedrins drop 6/2 in 6 minutes on 3-3 shooting. DJ has 6/2 off the bench, but the leader so far has been the guy who should always be, Baron Davis. 13 points, 5 assists, 2 steals, 1 turnover on 4-9 from the field and 5-5 from the line.
Gadz and Radman have been solid for the W's along with the balanced scoring (all 9 players have scored between 4-10 points).
Will miss the second half, hope to see the Clippers winning!
I didn't catch the game after the first half, so I can't really comment on the game like I saw what happened, but what is with this team never putting it together for more than 2 quarters? Are they just struggling and need to improve chemistry or are they just that bad?
