Default Mystery Hitch

So it'd been a long while since I played ball and I was shooting around a bit and something didn't feel right. I was coming up short constantly and I just didn't feel comfortable when I went up.

I began to notice that I had a hitch in the top of my shot. I don't know where it came from but I was wondering if you guys had anything like this happen after a long layoff?

I've self taught myself my jumpshot, so I've changed it a ton of times. But I never felt like I was forcing it like I was yesterday. It was just weird.

excuse me, but what is a hitch? Well, if you haven't played basketball in a while, it takes you some times to adjust to the correct shot. It's just like learning the correct form.

It's like a hiccup in your motion. You ever see Chuck Hayes shoot free throws? He has a fat hitch in the top of his shot.

Mine's not that bad.

hmm now I know what you mean. I'm wondering if the same thing is happening to me. I've had a lot of assignments this week and didn't get a lot of rest. I would shoot 80% in practice but now I shoot like 40% in practice. It used to feel like "alright this feels smooth" then it would go in. Now it feels like "what the, this isn't my shot.." It really feels like I'm shooting it wrong and I end up airballing hardcore(never airballed so much in basketball in my life. I would always hit the rim or something).
