Default Channing Frye

Is Frye worth owning this year? He had a terrible game 1 and an okay game 2, but he was really inconsistent last year too and I figure he will improve at some point.

An owner dropped him onto waivers in my league and I'm thinking of grabbing him. The major limitation would be that I don't really need anymore bigs and I would be burning my waiver spot for it (currently #1 since I drafted last). If I grabbed him, I would likely try to move another one of my bigs instead. Players I'm considering dropping for him would be:

Kirk Hinrich
Ben Gordon
Mike Miller
Anthony Randolph (can't believe I drafted this guy)

Frye isn't going to get nearly the wide open looks he got all year last year, with no inside presence at all left on the Suns roster. Nash's inevitable increased focus on producing offense will also hurt Frye's potential.

CF just had a career year in a perfect storm of opportunity. He not really a talent, and isn't worth owning, I don't think.

That said, neither is Hinrich. So you may as well do something with that slot.

hmm, thats a tought one. i'd say grab him except for the fact that you have the #1 waiver spot. At some point someone will inevitably drop a much better guy than Frye and you want to be able to jump on that. In the case I would probably not burn your waiver spot on getting Frye.

I would seriously consider picking him up.
too early to judge based on 2 games but he is getting the minutes and I don't see that changing.
he's still hitting 3's and reb at last years rate. He'll be okay.
As soon as you're comfortable that he's gained his consistency back, you can move another player

best of luck
