@ TheGame414

Wroten's HS team- Garfield, plays against Chicago's Morgan Park HS a team that features Louisville recruit Wayne Blackshear at the BB Hall Of Fame in Springfield, Mass on January 15, 2011 http://twitpic.com/2zdsmx .

Wayne is considered one of the top 2 players in Illinois by some http://www.chicagohoops.com/articles1/2011rankings.html if not the best and TW is the best player in Washington- should be a good game.

shouldn't he be leading washington state in scoring if he's so dominating? according to maxpreps.com, he's not.

And?

He does more than just score, buddy-o. He's still the best player in State on the State's #1 ranked 4A team. Fyi- he just had 46 points in his last game http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/htm...repboys02.html yesterday.

Catch him at the UW next season.

Not necessarily. In fact, that's just dumb logic if that is how you're going to judge a recruit. I don't know the classification system in Washington, but I'm guessing 4A is one of the bigger classifications.

Arkansas basketball isn't anything special, yet Archie Goodwin (consensus 5* 2012 prospect) plays in class 5A (third biggest classification in Arkansas) and he isn't leading the state in scoring. And he's the best prospect the state of Arkansas has produced since Joe Johnson. Neither is Ky Madden (a 4*/5* 2011 prospect) but that's mostly due to him sitting out almost all of conference play to heal an injury in time for the regional and state tournaments. Madden plays in class 2A (second smallest) and his team is still winning all their conference games by 30+ points if that tells you anything. He would and could be scoring 35 a night if healthy and playing.

What I'm getting at, is a lot of times, one of the state scoring leaders in a state is a dominant player in a smaller classification playing against vastly inferior competition every night. Rotnei Clarke lead the state of Oklahoma in scoring and he was in the same class as Blake Griffin, also from Oklahoma. I'll let you figure out who the better player is.

4A is the largest HS classification in Washington.

No need to explain to him those who have seen the best HS players play this season know that TW is head and shoulders above anyone in Washington & Oregon (Wiltjer) this year.

Btw- TW didn't get selected for the Mickey D's game but he is in the Jordan Brand Classic.

Tony Wroten aka GPS (as he locates his teammates anywhere on the court with his deft passes).

*Tony Wroten Talks About McDonald's game snub

Looks like Tony Wroten HS career has ended (All Kingco League-POY, All Area Seattle Times, 3rd place at State, 2011 Jordan Brand Classic, Team USA 2011 Nike Summit, 2011 Parade All American 2nd Team, 2011 AAA Washington Varsity News Player of the Year) & his UW career is just beginning.

TW was snubbed by The Seattle Times (Chris Sarbaugh Gonzaga Prep HS), McDonald's & Gatorade (State HS POY- Gary Bell Kentridge HS/Rotary AAU) which he has used as fuel for his fire.
