I was looking forward to the Foye signing, but wow is he hot garbage. Would prefer Fred Jones.

About the game, going to need Baron to have another solid game along with Blake staying on the court and out of foul trouble. Kaman needs to get out his slump as well, but this isn't the game to try to do it in unless it's a blowout for either side.

Clippers trail 27-23 after the end of the first quarter. An 11-4 run with the "Under22" Squad on the court. A lot of mistakes made, but that's what happens with youth and the Clippers are staying in despite that and shooting a whole 6-26 from the field. Aminu bingo'd and DJ has had some nice tip-ins.

Wonder what the veterans are thinking. "Oh shit, I really have to play now, VDN isn't scared to go with the youth", hopefully.

Halftime.

So far, the first half of this game has had a lot of back and forth, with the Mavericks starting out hot, and then the U-22 Clippers coming in with all of their energy to get the Clips back in the game, and since then has been a back and forth game.

Looking at the box score:
Mavericks:
Dirk has been quiet, with only 7 points on 6 shot attempts but is an abysmal 1-3 from the line.
Kidd with a solid 9/3/6, and Terry/Butler have 10/11 points respectively.
Brendan Haywood was HUGE off the bench, 6/3 with a block on 3-3 shooting.

Clippers:
Kaman and Griffin combine for 14/14 but are 5-20 from the field.
Gomes with 5/4/1 on 1-1 shooting, great glue guy at SF.
Gordon has 7 points and has attempted nothing but threes (1-5). Needs to start converting.
DeAndre Jordan, like Haywood, was HUGE for the Clippers, dropping 10/4 on 4-6 in just under 8 minutes.

Third quarter woes continue for the Clippers, get outscored 29-19 to help the Mavericks increase their lead from a bucket to a dozen. All the starters, minus Gomes, are 9-38 from the field (23.7%) while the rest of the team is 12-26 (46.2).

Im so disappointed with these games so far. I love Blakes play and DeAndres' progression.

But if things stay consistently poor.. It definitely looks like Kaman and Davis may be on the block again.. I know, I know.. a trade is unlikely to happen.
