Default Rookie Armon Johnson off to great start

Armon Johnson, it is becoming more and more clear, could be something special. It is becoming harder and harder for coach Nate McMillan and the teams veterans not to beam about the left-hander drafted out of Nevada with the 34th overall pick. Johnson on Tuesday continued his steady climb in the rotation with another solid performance, this time a 10-point, five-assist, one-turnover performance in 22 key minutes during the Blazers’ 90-76 win at Milwaukee. Oregonian

In his last two games, Johnson has played a combined 31 minutes and produced 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting while recording seven assists, two turnovers and four rebounds. He has also made both of his three-point attempts. Along the way, he has harrassed two pretty good point guards -- Chicago’s Derrick Rose and Milwaukee’s Brandon Jennings. Rose had four turnovers when Johnson was in the game and Jennings two. Oregonian

I wish I would have watched him a little more when he was in college as I only saw him play in the NCAA tournament. When the Blazers drafted him. I liked the pick. He looked good from what I saw in the first half of tonights game. Dosen't look like Nate is going to give him any 2nd half play time though.

He outplayed Bayless in New Orleans last night. I look forward to watching him play more as the sesaon progresses. Hopefully they have found their point guard of the future.

I'm glad to Bayless got traded, this kid with more minutes could be a nice player in our second unit.
He's such a great defensive player, like almost our entire team and he knows what to do on the offensive in. Not forcing and creating shoots for the team mates, cause he have plenty of guys capable of knocking down shoots.
