I'm nervous about Camby's health but he is a perfect fit style wise.If we dont get a guy this year, how about signing Dalembert? Also,if we get that perfect fit @ center (the tall shot blocker who doesnt demand the ball) can we keep Mike D'Antoni? I'd hate to get a defensive stopper and his skills not be utilized because Mike doesnt care about defense.I'd hate to see Perfect Player A come here and get parked on the bench because he doesnt shoot threes.D'Antoni has this arrogance to where he quickly dismisses guys who dont fit perfectly into what he wants.Regardless of how good they are.
Agreed....I just heard it in my car.Larry Brown is an excellent X's and O's guy but a terrible ppl person...especially in times of adversity. His teaching methods may have become a bit antiquated @ this point.
After thinking about it,I would like Sam Mitchell but I changed my mind on trying out a new guy with no head coaching experience.I wouldnt mind a guy who's been a veteran assistant.Im noticing the big names now have too much ego themselves and often bump heads with the star players and the young guys.I have no problems offering the next tom Thibadeau a job and letting him grow with our young team. Those guys to seem to only have basketball on their minds. Some of the veteran guys have become prima donnas and clash with their players.
Get off your bullshit and put the best combination lineup out there.
We need a center badly in the lineup, so either Mozgov which I don't care if he fouls out or not plays, or Turiaf who also is in the same boat depending on the team we play.
C....prefer Mozgov, if not Ronny
PF...Damn put your star back in his most comfortable spot.
SF Chandler...to put the least likely player to have a disappearing act.
SG Fields hasn't proved he shouldn't be there, he is doning well on both ends.
PG No brainer.
Gallo I would like to see as the sixth man for his scoring and playmaking.
Starting just isn't working, he fades out the game way too much.
As sixth man he would have the "Toney Douglas" green light.
I just don't understand why Coach doesn't play Moz. I'm baffled.
Felton didn't cut it with 6-23 (or something like that).
Galli should be coming off the bench, maybe more for a lesson about not playing up to his ability.
But back to Coach. I know some people here say he doesn't have the talent here, I think he has enough talent for now but he shows his inadequencies as a coach. Like putting Williams on D-12. ????
Giving a pass to Galli, like he did for Duhon?
And 1 more subject I want to touch on is/has been the officiating. It's been horrible. Don't want to believe this? Go back over the games like the one against Miami for example. Look closely, even replay some of the none calls for STAT when he was going for either a dunk or layup and watch Wade or whoever was guarding him slap him across the arms, thus knocking the ball out of his hands. He complained to the ref's, but there is so much complaining you can do. Then towards the end of the game LeQuitter is going for a layup and Wilson swipes at the ball, and a foul was called on Chandler. From what I could see, Wil didn't even touch him.
At this point, not only does the blame have to go on Mike but on Donnie. If these guys arent the guys you thought they'd be,or they dont fit your system. Why not trade them? Why let them rot on the bench and diminish all their trade value? If you woulda said a year ago to trade AR for Ridnour, ppl woulda said that's foolish. Now,it doesnt seem as farfetched.
I know we won some games and we have a decent record but I'm confused why ppl saw as much promise in this roster as they did quite frankly.Beyond the madness going on with the center and forward positions, anytime you have a team where you dread Felton having to go to the bench, you know theres a problem.
