Default Still want the Nets to do that Melo deal?

The Nuggets remain interested in a Nets package that includes Derrick Favors and two first-round picks. Denver also likes Philadelphia swingman Andre Iguodala. It's possible the Nets, Sixers and Nuggets could work on a three- or four-team trade with New Jersey getting Anthony contingent upon his agreeing to sign an extension. Bergen Record

honestly I think we need melo right now. Him and harris would feed off of each other well and brook is best suited for being a second option anyway.

This. It would improve the team big time.

this is the biggest thing that makes me nervous and sick as a nets fan--

somehow, management is STILL thinking about trading an intriguing big man (favors) and several excellent #1 picks for carmelo anthony.

carmelo... who does a couple of things well, but who destroys his team's passing and defense year after year, making it almost impossible for them to even make it to the conference finals.

and yet you guys (and the nets), are somehow still in love with him. both of you seem to be incredibly impatient with the natural growing process of a rebuilding team, and seem to keep wanting to sacrifice the future growth just to hire a temporary fix.

me? i was hoping that we could win a championship...

I think the biggest reason why some people want him now is because we dont get opportunities like this often. To get a top 10 player on our team would do wonders. A Harris-Melo-Lopez trio sounds deadly. I said before that I'm 50-50 on the trade, still am. Favors looks like hes going to be a very important piece in the future and could be a HUGE mistake to give him up for Melo. I'm usually a high risk high reward type of guy but that hasnt really been working out for us the last few years.

The season is looking worse and worse. Lets get Melo!
Everyone looks lost on the offense besides Harris and Lopez. Melo brings the Nets deepest weaknesses! Scoring, outside shooting and leadership.

I think gigantes and I have been on the same page regarding favors and melo. Well put.
