List moves that the Knicks should make to make the play-offs
I think it would be a good idea for us to make a list of what the Knicks should do to make the play-offs and I will update the OP with those ideas. Only post one at a time though. Throughout the season we could use this as a check list to see if the Knicks are making a right move.
First and foremost I think we should trade for a strong defensive center who can grab boards. We cant keep getting out rebounded for 82 games and expect to the play-offs.
SUGGESTED
1.) Trade for an established defensive center who can rebound.
2.) Replace Mike D'Antoni
3.) Acquire Carmelo Anthony

The first move has to be to fire D'Antoni. Hire Ewing or throw everything and the kitchen sink to get Van Gundy back. This team is getting younger, the bad contracts are almost all gone, and Van Gundy or Ewing can build something here. D'Antoni just looks like he doesn't care out there. Smug bastard.

I would give Ewing a shot. Either him or Mark Jackson would be better than what we have now.
Freaking douchebag Doc Rivers is in Beantown, and I don't think he would come back at this point, even though he would be perfect for us now.
Re: List moves that the Knicks should make to make the play-offs
We need a more consistent offense like Phoenix had. They only ran when there was an opportunity to get a good shot quickly. If not, they'd come down, PnR Nash and Amare, hit Amare for a dunk, or an open shooter for a three. We don't have any type of consistent offense. It's always a mystery how we're gonna score. You can't base the problems on the numbers. You need a consistent effective offense and everything else will fall into place. We're 27th in the NBA in FG%, 7th in TPG. So, of course the other team will get a ton of rebounds. And they will always be in transition while our team scrambles trying to find their guy. And by the time they do, it's too late cause they're at the basket or they've already taken a shot and nobody boxed out anybody so the other team beats us on the boards.

Focus on:
1. Try to get Melo here.
2. In some games when the 3's aren't falling, STOP chucking them.
3. Post Amar'e up more. Stop giving him the ball near the 3 pt line.
4. Have guys cut to the basket when STAT is double-triple teamed.
5. Remember when we played team defense when we won a couple games this year? Maybe try that again.
6. When Galli goes 0fer again, bench him and start someone else. Maybe that will snap him out of it.
7. Privately threaten D'Antoni's job (If I were Dolan). See what happens.
8. Make everyone aware to go for the rebound instead of just taking off for the other end after either they miss or we miss.
9. Someone has to teach Felton how to P&R soon.
10. Try to get Melo here. (Wait, did I mention that already?)
