Extending a 34 year old, past his prime, lazy QB for 5 years? He's under contract with the Redskins until he's 39. McNabb's a shell of what he once was at 34. How bad does that mean he'll be when he's 39?

How on Earth is Mcnabb lazy? He's never been called lazy, bad work ethic, not dedicated to the game of football. Shanny making the casual fans thinking Mcnabb is some lazy football player. Hardly, Shanny lacks the balls to come out and say he doesnt feel Mcnabb was performing to his satisfaction so he benched him. We saw how that worked out.

I was thinking the contract could somehow be justified because he will be cut in three years... and some owners like to give huge bonuses to keep the cap figure of first few years of the contract low. (the contract could be backloaded in the last two years)

But $40 Million guaranteed?

He shouldn't of got $40 million with 20 guaranteed.
