Based soleley on the last 3 games...so let's take opinions out of it and go solely on facts:
Chandler's last 3 games
17 vs HOU
17 vs Minn
27 vs GS
Gallinari's last 3 games
14 vs HOU
25 vs MINN
15 vs GS
Same amount of turnovers
Chandler has 3 more rebounds
Chandler 6 of 18 from 3
Gallinari 4 of 16 (supposedly Gallo's strongest asset)
Gallinari 4 assists in the last 3 games
Chandler 10 assists in the last 3 games
Chandler 11 blocks in the last 3 games
Gallinari 0 blocks in the last 3 games
In the words of the great Kanye West... "I'm just saying"
Chandler is suppsed to be the turnover prone one w/ no handle yet he has the same amount of turnover and 6 more assists.
Chandler plays way better D.He scores more. He's a better rebounder. He's even shooting better from 3 over the last 3 games. And this is all while being flip flopped from position to position.Dude can play the 3.I dont get where all this terrible handle stuff is coming from.It isnt like he's Brian Scalabrine or Eddie House.
Thank you.
Anyone who can say that Gallinari has been better than Chandler, has not been watching the games.
Gallo's been playing the SF position. Chandler's been playing the PF position. Don't you think a SF should have more turnovers than a PF?
You can't see it in the numbers man. I man do people watch him dribble the ball? He puts his head down. He gets offensive fouls or ends up taking bad shots. It goes beyond the box score. Now I've watched every game last year and every game this year. I know.
A SF should also have more assists, but Gallo does not have that either.

When do they even pass him the ball? Lol. I'm not saying that Gallo's a better player. But it goes beyond the box score. Chandler has awful handles. You'd be blind to think otherwise. This shouldn't even be an argument. Chandler's not a good ballhandler. How can nobody else see that? The positives Chandler brings are on the defensive end.

I am not trying to argue who the better player actually is. I am just saying Chandler has PLAYED better so far this year. He has been a better scorer, rebounder, defender, blocker, and more versatile in his ability to play more positions.
All I was doing is taking my opinion out of it.Some guys say I'm a Gallo hater. That I would love it if he never played and if Chandler was our franchise player.I just thought I'd post this to remove any bias anyone has ever accused me of.
If Chandler dribbles too much or poorly and can't pass and can't shoot etc etc etc...how do you explain this? "I'm just sayin" lol

I was one of those guys
But tbh I'm not gonna argue if you hate Gallo or not, it's just that you prefer Chandler and I'm cool with it
At leats I hope you agree that Gallo has more upside...?

I agree with this. Doesn't change the fact that he has been awful this year. I was actually expecting him to make a big move towards being an elite player. Right now, it looks like a complete joke to say we shouldn't trade him for Melo.
Yeah I'd say this is one of those cases where the stats don't say it all...
Nope they don't but Gallinari is useless when his shot is off. He isn't a good defender and just keeps bricking up long range bombs even when he isn't feeling it. Wilson is still a better rebounder and a much better defender.

Yeah he has more upside but neither has more upside than Anthony Randolph. That doesn't mean either one of them will reach their potential. I prefer Wilson because he right now he's the better player.

I've never had a problem dealing him for Melo. I'd rather know that Melo is a Knick than waiting for the summer and having the Free Agent madness once again. And failing once again.
Draz, at this point I would rather have him take jumpshots because he has a good chance of sinking them. I would rather see him do this than having him barrel into 2-3-4 guys on the other team. He's going to hurt himself. He needs help, (Mr. Walsh? )
He should be posting up closer to the basket, but coach doesn't get it I guess. Are we the only one's to see this plus all the other crap? (like keep shooting 3's when we can't hit the side of a barn). If we are hitting them, then by all means heave-ho.
We have to start rebounding better, but it's the same story every game over and over. Why doesn't MD see this and change? What goes through that guys head? He's too stubborn for his/our own good.
I know that Chandler has played better lately, but if I had the NBA finals TONIGHT and should choose between the two guys, I'd go with Gallo.
Why? Because the best game Gallo can have tonight > the best game Wilson can have.
Sure but Wilson will have the bigger chance of contributing to a win. Gallo is very inconsistent, so I wouldn't bet on him having a great game.
I also believe Wilson would stay calm in most situations, I'm not so sure about Gallinari's ability to be cold blooded in that situation. But that's just my feeling.
