Lol this.

We're gonna act like Marion wasn't all star with Marbury & Stoud didn't tear down the second part of 04 with Barbosa as a starting PG ?

i don't think nash is that great this year so ez on the dicksucking

Warrick can be decent, he's tall and lanky and sort of athletic but still moves like he's on stilts. its either him or Robin Lopez, and Lopez sux so its Warrick getting big man pick and rolls. not to mention Lopez is hurt right now.

Amare can play fine without Nash, more a matter of his shot falling and getting comfortable in the knicks offense. too much over analyzation, altho i think the Amare would be WAY better with Beano Udrih running point feeding him

Shawn Marion was not, at any point in his career a top 10 player.

jeez im reading through my posts from a few days ago and I was definitely operating in some fantasy land...

that said, when compared to other NBA point guards, Nash is still slow and can't jump. Compared to your average Joe? wayyyyy above average. Compared to the Devin Harrises, Derrick Rose's, Westbrook's of the league, the guy is far inferior.

How tall is Nash btw?

Amar'e Stoudemire just won NBA Eastern Player of the Week. Apparently he is not doing as bad as some think without Nash.

I agree he's not slow or short but come on he's 6'3 and can't dunk he can not jump

Didn't he feast on teams with no defensive big guy though?

Valid point.

lol, what people don't realize is Nash isn't making these players. It's like CAN U CATCH THE BALL AND DUNK IT? CAN U CATCH THE BALL AND SHOOT A THREE? If you have those skills, you can play with Nash or any other elite level PG.

I mean, nobody credits Deron for Paul Millsaps stardom.

I don't think it's a race thing like people think it is, but I think it's because Nash is so different. Everyone in the NBA is some super athlete and you see them dunking on kids. But Nash is kind of like Larry Bird of PGs (Although Larry was way better obviously, at his position) It's like "lol @ this guy" then he starts busting your ass.

That's the main draw, I think.

Simmons knows nothing.
Marion had a number of spectacular seasons without Nash to begin with.

Arguble in 05/06 and possibly 04/05. Definitely top 15.

He has spondylolisthesis which makes it very difficult for him to jump. McGrady has the same condiiton.

Bill Simmons, is he just now catching on to what people have been saying for years? He needs to step his troll game up.

Not to single you out, but I'm ****ing tired of people talking about how Nash is slow and unathletic. It's ridiculous. Not only is he quick, but he can stop on a dime and throw up crafty layups like it's nothing. He's also incredibly agile for a 6'2 PG. Derrick Rose and Russell Westbrook are ridiculousy gifted athletes. That's a horrible comparison. Still, I'd say Nash can hold his own at age 35. And if you think he can't dunk or something, don't kid yourself. He's old, but he's still tall enough to dunk the ball relatively easy. His game is not that so you will never see it.

Stephen Curry
Brandon Jennings
Deron Williams
John Wall
Aaron Brooks
Rajon Rondo
Tyreke Evans (combo G, we know)
Tony Parker
Baron Davis
Chris Paul

are those also horrible comparisons?
