Default Lebron for Pau

12-team roto, standard 9 cats (inc TO's). Someone wants a center, and I need a swingman. He offered Lebron for Pau straight up, which would be a no brainer in most seasons, but so far Pau has been the #1 ranked fantasy player, while Lebron's stats have dipped in Miami. I figure Pau's boards will drop slightly with Bynum back, but I think he'll still end up the top center at season's end.

My team:
PG: Russell Westbrook
SG: Raymond Felton
G: Tony Parker
SF: Dorrell Wright
PF: Elton Brand
F: Josh Smith
C: Pau Gasol
C: Joakim Noah
Util: DJ Augustin
Util: Richard Jefferson
Bench: Serge Ibaka
Bench: Baron Davis (inj)
Bench: Carlos Boozer (inj)

I'm pretty set on PG and C/PF, but I'm seriously lacking in SG/SF. I'm wondering if trading one of my mid-tier centers for a pure 3-pt specialist might be better, since I don't really need Lebron's assists.

Agree that you dont need LeBron's assists, and that Pau's efficiency will keep him elite when Bynum returns. I could make a case for staying put and making the deal I suppose, but your thoughts sound solid. The only reason I would have for making the deal is that you could use some more scoring.

How about dealing Parker for Harrington/Allen/SJax/Gallo? All could help in the scoring and threes cats. That way you move Augustin to G and any one of those guys to Util, and RJ goes to the bench when Boozer returns. I'd really like that lineup, with Ibaka there to help out for any injuries or needs you have.

sg sf is the position most easily filled, no need to get scared so early in the season. s jax is a good player to target, maybe brand? or package something with tony

What about Noah and B Diddy for Manu? Too much?

For some reason I don't trust SJax and have never owned him in 8 years of playing Fantasy BBall.
