Default bill simmon's on nash

"Add this to Steve Nash's Hall of Fame résumé: "Turned Hakim Warrick, someone who has two discernable basketball skills -- he finishes well on fast breaks, and he rolls hard to the rim off screens -- into someone who can explode for 20-25 on any given night." It's his greatest feat ever. Even better than making Shawn Marion a top-10 player and getting Amare Stoudemire a $100 million contract."

ha, so true.

It's not like you didn't expect it. Who else was gonna score for the team?

I usually see eye-to-eye with Bill but I am always surprised by Warrick's high level of play. Give Nash some credit, sure, but Hakeem's got some game.

oh no question. On offense, Nash is an almost perfect point guard.

For a guy who is short, slow, and can't jump, it's remarkable how good Steve Nash is at basketball.

People knock his defense but forget to mention that he turns scrubs into role players, role players into stars, and stars into superstars. The list of players who owe Nash for their paychecks is a long list indeed.

The best shooter ever, arguably the best passer ever, and arguably the best playmaker ever... Steve Nash is without question one of the greatest offensive basketball players of all-time.

Warrick hasn't scored 25 on any night this year, and has scored over 20 only once.

he isn't short, he isn't slow, and he can jump. Quit being a racist or buying into a stereotype. He understands how valuable he is to his team and doesn't do anything that puts him at an injury risk.

While I don't think the poster was trying to be racist, it definitely is a misconceived stereotype of Nash. He definitely is not slow and he is not short for a pg. He can't jump high, but him and Bron have the best body control in the league. His slight adjustments, the ones that don't translate to watching him on tv, are what make him able to get a shot off. He has that basketball on a yo-yo and he makes people freeze, that's as good as jumping over them. He's awesome at offense. Just ridiculously awesome.

The lack of knowledge that you so proudly displayed in this post qualifies you for moron of the year.

Its funny that in approximately the same minutes. Warrick averaged more points his second year in the league. Simmons is lame, and Amare was a beast starting the 2nd half of his second year in the league after he got MVP of rookie/sophomore game.

Why is it Nash gets credit for "making these guys yet the bump in his numbers from Dalls to PHoenix gets ignored so easily?

WHen you wake up lets us know. In your dreams is the only place Nash is the best at anything All Time.
You see Magic,Bird,Russell,Kobe,Frazier, isiah, Jordan these guys take good players and make them Champions thats where Nash falls short.,,ALso looking around the league many of them players you are giving Nash all this credit seem to be doing ok without him

And Amare is playing better without Nash. So what does he have to do with his 100 million dollar contract?

Bill Simmons is a joke

I wouldn't say better, but pretty much the same.

These last 3-4 games really boosted up Amare's stats, lol.
