Default Tyrus Thomas

What is the scoop with his minutes? I don't follow the team very much but I have always liked a number of their players.

Thomas received the big contract, yet he'll still only play sub 15 mins some nights despite the Cats record getting worse. He started against the Knicks and blew up, then Larry Brown said it was about matchups. However the next night they played Houston who was starting Chuck Hayes at C who is like 6'5". Now the Bucks are without Bogut and starting Sanders and TT still isn't starting. What matchup then is Brown talking about?

What do Cat's fans think about this? We have had a lot of similar feelings in Toronto with Reggie Evans starting and Amir Johnson riding the bench (and Amir is no where near the player Thomas is).

LB's mindset is that Diaw is a better player than TT right now, which, barring all accusations of senality, there's no excuse to think that way. TT is supposed to be getting starters minutes while being the 6th man, but that's debatable. He's also been hampered by a few minor nagging injuries, so that's probably one reason for the inconsistency at this point. It should probably start getting back to more of what we want/he deserves as the season progresses.

Maybe it's LB maximizing play possibilities. Or rather he wants Augustin to take more shots than Diaw.

Making Diaw the playmaker frees Augustin for scoring. LB believes Augustin's a better scorer than Diaw I suppose.

As a result Diaw the playmaker eats up minutes from TT.

But no doubt Diaw is on the trading block and the FO's working hard to send him away. TT will definitely take over from then, if the day ever comes.
