Default Re: Kobe Bryant no. 1 according to experts.

there's a bit of legitimacy if the voting process occurred in the offseason. the lakers just won the ship, so of course kobe gets an advantage.

no surprise with melo at 6, over dirk and dwill

I'm pretty sure that is the one thing that weighs heavy on all the votes.
It's all about the championship.

I figured LeBron's ineptitude with the Heat would have put this "debate" to rest once and for all.

Averaging less than one offensive rebound per game on THAT team and leading the league in turnovers? Is simply not as good as advertised.

Kobe got 49 1st place votes to James' 22.

It seems that people who watch the game and live in the NBA circle still think Lebron isn't quite the clear cut best player in the league?

Of course the stat geeks, haters, and Hollinger freaks are gonna flip out.

Surprised that Lebron even got 22 votes.. Truth is the best player in the game is no longer either of these guys.. Dhoward does more for his team than either of them.. Add dhoward to either of lebron's or Kobe's team and they win a title no problem....

you are correct about lebron but you fail to mention kobe's ineptitude with a offense he has played with for most of his career.. You could also mention how he helped put the LAKERS into this four game losing streak with his horrible defense and his horrible shooting... Both look like crap if you ask me.. So does my fav player Dwade...
