In order for Rodgers to be in contention, I believe all these things need to happen...
1. Green Bay has to win their division; closing the season with five straight wins (including one that would have to come at New England) would be huge.
2. He has to put up numbers these next four games on par with what he's done in his last four games. He should be a lock for about 300 passing yards a game and a few touchdowns against the teams Green Bay has left on their schedule.
3. Not just beat New England, but outplay Tom Brady in convincing fashion. This will be a nationally televised game and doing so on such a stage will really help his case.
The award is Brady's to lose right now more than it is for Rodgers' to win without question. I think it would take a borderline act of god these last four games for Brady to not claim the award. He is leading a 10-2 team with a lot of young, no name talent to the most points in the NFL and is also the highest rated passer with a phenomenal TD-to-INT ratio.
