Default This is what happens in England when parliament tries to raise tuition (pics)

Meanwhile in America, tuition has been on a steady increase for the past 30 years, and what do people do? Sit on their ass and watch American Idol, good old USA.

lol it was really funny yesterday, BBC kept showing footage of cops beating the shit out of kids accidentally then everytime it showed this the footage would mysteriously lose the signal and cut away to a helicopter shot. Then when the helicopter shot showed about 40 police officers start to violently attack and beat down on a bunch of students with their huge glass shields (maybe they were provoked who knows) they magically lost the signal again and cut away to an interview and university east anglia

There were actually a lot of protests last year regarding tuition and fee hikes in the UC system. Protesters were walking right in the middle of my classes demanding students to get up and walk out in which a lot of people did.

So yeah we don't just sit around and watch American Idol. Not every time at least.

last night I was talking with a dispatcher from the UK , and he said it is very expensive to live in England .. and the bottom line he felt there won't be a middle class in a generation or so from now.
In other words he felt theere will only be rich and poor people.

I guess the republicans are really trying to set the standard , by getting the rich more tax breaks...

I'm thrilled to know in a decade or less , I won't be middle class , I'll just be another poor guy.

Unfortunately not. The administrations kept giving typical responses "This isn't something we want to do," "We realize how hard it is," "We will continue to pursue alternative means of attacking budget woes," etc. In the end the chancellors keep making their ridiculous salaries, classes continue to get cut and it doesn't look like things are going to change any time soon.

Yeah it's pretty sad, Bernie Sanders explains it pretty well in this video. I think if people collectively just start boycotting everything, the gov will have no choice but to listen to our demands. Cause they make all their money off of us, without anyone buying into their bullshit they are completely powerless. (I realise this is completely unrealistic)

Not to mention all the outsourcing to other countries for cheap labour. Why do you think everything on the market is made in China? The corporations that produce the items would rather pay for cheap Chinese labour than create jobs for their own country. ****ing sell outs.

when governments pull crap like our government has, people in other countries protest and riot on teh streets. They make governments pay. Heck, we saw something in a freaking hell hole like Iran after people thought the elections were rigged.

People in this country sit back and watch reality shows when crap is pulled by the goverment. We have had presidents lie to us and take us into wars and break campaign promises. We have a GOP that basically took the entire country and its entire future hostage for 2% of the population. Why do we just sit back and take crap like this? Where are the protests?

There's no need to protest violently. However if things do get violent, usually comes from the law enforcement side, keep in mind that close to 50%, if not more of Americans own guns.
