Denzel Washington/Malcolm X - Malcolm X
Laurence Fishburne/Ike Turner - What's love got to do with it

One of the biggest robberies in Oscar history was Denzel not winning best actor for that. Great choices too.

Robert De Niro as Jake LaMotta in Raging Bull

Denzel Washington as Frank Lucas

Denzel played Denzel in that movie, it was a pretty lazy performance for him. Frank Lucas has a thick Southern accent.

Robert Downey jr, as Charlie Chaplin. It is uncanny.

The first one that came to my mind was Denzel as Malcom X. Was amazing.

And I think there are people that won't ever be portrayed to anyone's satisfaction. For example I think Will Smith did a great job in Ali, but Mohamed Ali is just a character that I don't think anyone will ever be able to capture. You'd think that the closest person to him as far as his charisma would be WIll, but he still fell far short of capturing it completely.

I don't think people would have understood Denzel if he talked like that.

Probably not going to be a very popular choice but I loved how Casey Affleck played Robert Ford in the Assassination of Jesse James. For that matter I loved how Brad Pitt portrayed Jesse James.

I'm betting Borat as Freddie Mercury in the upcoming bio pic will be stellar. He's a shape shifter.

I got really excited when I heard that Cohen was going to be Freddie Mercury. I'm really interested to see him devote himself to something serious instead of the silly stuff he's done in Ali G and the other comedy movies.... plus we all know he can handle the stache.

It as cool. Way better than the Terrance Howard version of Ali, lol.

Columbus Short who portrayed Little Walter on Cadillac Records was great.
