Bobcats get the scoring they need and with ellis gone Curry numbers would go up even more.Add Elliss to this lineup and Bobcats becomes a threat in the east.
Bobcats New Lineup:
PG:Augustine/Livington/Collins
SG:Ellis/Henderson/Caroll
SF:Jackson/Mcguire
PF: Diaw/Thomas.D.Brown
C:Naz/Diop/K.Brown
If anyone should get traded it should be Jack. His little tirade against Boris last night completely deflated all the energy we had built up to that point. Add to that his 9 turnovers and I say good riddance.

Agreed. Finally got rid of tyrant LB. It's like the entire team was reborn. There's no room any longer for negativity. Jack can be replaced.

I'd do it. Hate to give up Crash...but Monta is just sick.
No. Stephen Jackson is not a SF. Do the salaries even match up? Doubt it.
They do more or less. Ellis is on a pretty good contract actually at 11 million flat for the next four years.
But this trade does not make sense for the Warriors. Wallace's great rebounding ability wouldn't be as useful with David Lee and Biedrins on the team. And I don't see why Ellis has to make room for Curry either. First of all, Ellis is better than Curry, but also: they complement each other well.
For the Bobcats it's lateral movement given that losing Wallace would leave our front court dangerously thin and horrid on the glass. Given the Cats are receiving better value I would still do it, but the deal would make both teams worse right now.
At this point I don't want to do anything. Let Silas get a feel for what's working and what's not over the next several games. Then look to get a deal done that improves the team in both the short and long term.
The fact that Kwame has been inactive the last 2 games after LB gave him extensive minutes is telling, imo.

Completely disagree that it would make the warriors worse.Although our offense will be gone we will get much better and rebounding. Can David Lee and Andres Biedrins rebound?Yes but we get killed on the boards by bigger, meaner teams. With Gerald on the team as the SF he will bring toughness because no one on our team has toughness.
If that deal were to happen, the success of the warriors depends on curry now because as of right now he hasnt shown he could be a #1 option nor a real PG.Defensively he is pretty bad.
For the Bobcats iam 100% confident that Ellis is not a product of the run n gun system. He can excel in any system, wether or not they let him shoot as much is a different qustion but he will always shoot a high percentage.
