He's also a big crybaby. He spent half the game crying to the refs and he already has those sneaky tactics (probably learned from his pops) to get foul calls...like kicking his legs out on 3 point attempts. He really comes off as spoiled and immature, like a kid who pouts when he doesn't get what he wants.

Yeah... I just re-read my post. It made no sense the way I just started randomly talking about Rivers without prefacing it. I meant to throw a quote in-between the Irving part and the Rivers part.

Anyway, I still haven't seen him play. I don't like what I'm hearing, though... And I'm also not crazy about 6-4 SGs. I'm thinking he isn't going to live up to the hype. Bear in mind, that is without ever seeing him... I may change my tune if he really blows me away when I do get a chance to check him out.

Think Kevin Martin from the Rockets. Not in terms of style of play but as far as being a great scorer without contributing in other areas.

I like that he's coming to Duke but I might hate him real soon, haven't watched a lot of his shit yet.

If Kyrie Irving comes back next season and Coach K plays Austin Rivers at the 2 guard its all over.

Rivers is an undersized 2 guard so i doubt he gets picked number one he'll probably be a bit better than Ellis/Gordon

For one thing, I think Monta is quite better than Eric Gordon. Just saying.

What if Harrison Barnes and John Henson come back to play with everyone else on this year's team and James McAdoo and P.J. Hairston?

he doesnt have the athletism to be an elite sg. Ben Gordon was doing that and more in high school.

I don't get where all the hype is coming from.
