Matthews scores 30 points, Trail Blazers win -- The AP reports: The Portland Trail Blazers are determined to stay upbeat despite Brandon Roy’s serious knee problems. Wesley Matthews tied a career high with 30 points, LaMarcus Aldridge added 27 and the Blazers beat the Utah Jazz 100-89 on Thursday night, hours after learning that their star guard will be sidelined for a lengthy period because of sore knees... Marcus Camby returned after missing three of Portland’s last five games because of an ankle injury, leading Portland with a season-high 20 rebounds. Andre Miller added 16 points and 10 assists. Deron Williams had 19 points and eight assists for Utah, Paul Millsap added 17 points and Al Jefferson had 13 points and 10 rebounds. The Jazz lost to Portland for the second time this week.
