Suns cut Earl Barron
The 7-0, 250-pound center appeared in 12 games for Phoenix, including six starts, averaging 3.0 points and 3.3 rebounds in 15.3 minutes. Barron, a four-year NBA veteran with the Miami Heat (2005-08) and New York Knicks (2009-10), joined the Suns on Nov. 16.

THANK GOD! The guy is horrid. Never seen someone miss so many wide open layups in my life. The ONLY thing he has going for him is height.

His FG% for a Center is pathetic.

Knicks are thinking it over:

Source: Knicks have had internal discussions about Earl Barron, NO decisions made yet. Would have to cut a player first. Nothing imminent.

It's sad that we have Mozgov, Randolph, and Curry on the roster, yet we need to contemplate adding a journeyman center who can't make/stay on a roster. Wow.
That being said, cut Rautins. That guy is worthless.

Was'nt he averaging 11 boards with the Knicks? He cant be this bad if he was playing that well just under 12 months ago.

He's not really horrible. He hustles and rebounds, he just needs to pass the ball out unless he has a dunk. I can't believe how many EASY lay-ups he missed. And oftentimes 3 or 4 in a row.

Yeah he was taking boards away from Lee like crazy. His jumper is not bad too.

he wasn't bad at all for the knicks. he had the size to matchup and not get dominated against other Centers and thats all you really need from your backup.

Really hope a team like the Knicks or Magic get him. He's a pretty serviceable center.
