The Wire is the most hood television show I've ever seen on tv. Not too over the top, and they don't downplay the kid's involvement at all out of sensitivity or anything.

And I think someone was mentioning Marlo instead of Omar when they were talking about his mans puttin the squeeze on the pawn shop owner. Omar's my fave character though. Dude is just a one man army. Straight maverick. Gotta love a stick up kid who's not afraid to take on the big wigs. Fave line out of the series is when he foiled that attacker's shank attempt in lock up and had him pinned against the wall. "if i had a little more time....me and you would make some babies. *muah*"

Also when Marlo straight chumped dat security guard at that market, for no reason. "You want it both ways, when you can't have that. It's the other way."

Omar then Mike. The Wire is like Menace II Society on small screen.
