Default How do you feel about Shaggy's legacy in music history?

Does he deserve one? He was huge for a while, but it seems like he quickly faded into obscurity. Those songs he did at the height of his popularity are still pretty good songs, but i'm just wondering how people see him now. More as a one hit wonder or somebody who deserves to be mentioned as a great and creative musician during his era?

I don't know if a legacy can be left behind from a man who sounds like he's got a Kenyan dick down his throat while simultaneously gargling listerine.

I mean Angel and It Wasn't Me are the kinda songs that will probably get radio play (and department store play) for the next few decades

But overall dude doesn't have anything CLOSE to a legacy

Funny tho i was actually listening to this last night. Mashup of "It Wasn't Me" and the Beatles "Let it Be"

The dude has no legacy. People do not remember or care about this cat.

His songs might end up on those infomercial cd's like, Greatest 70's Hits, or One Hit Wonders.

He was pretty big for 4-5 years, from 1995 to early 2000's, I think. After "It Wasn't Me", he has been nobody.
