I think he's suggesting that KB24 was winning 'chips with Shaq, and now with Pau Gasol, the Lakers are a great team again. Before Pau was added to the roster, the Lakers couldn't catch a break.
I'm a LAL fan but a lot of you guys in here are just riding Kobe's dick. Calling Kobe "god"? Are you serious?
I know Kobe's the greatest player of the current generation, quite possibly top 5 of all time, if not top 3; however, you guys are out of your minds with all the "Who does Smush think he is talking about Kobe like that?" and "Smush was nobody until playing with the god" comments.
As for this whole Smush-Kobe ordeal, I think the 2005-06 season was the best season in this past decade. I watched almost every single televised Lakers game that season. I'll admit that Smush was a big disappointment, especially since I bought a jersey with his name on it and I literally only wore it twice in public before I stopped wanting to root for the guy. He seemed to have some talent, throwing down decent dunks, having pretty cool looks to the basket, playing some decent D, etc. In the end, he didn't have the talent to cut it in the NBA, which is made evident by all the waives he got from every team. After he left LA, I stopped following his career. This is the 1st I've heard of him playing elsewhere. Last time I heard anything about him, I figured he was in the D league.
Sorry for the long post. Just wanted to drop my .02 cents.

just a reminder. Kobe, Bynum, Odom, Fish were tearing up the league before Gasol even got there. They were on track to be the best team in the West anyways.

Agreed on the Kobe "god" comments, frankly as a Laker fan, it's embarrassing. I disagree with you on Smush having talent to play in the NBA. He had all the ability to be a valuable contributor, particularly in the triangle offense, but the absolute worst attitude. I assume as a Laker fan, you witnessed him go from steady 3 pt shooter, finisher, and solid defender and devolve into a player that didn't give a d*mn and ultimately tune his coaches out. It was rather sad to watch, here was a kid that was making good on his opportunity but ultimately let his own ego get the best of him.

Smush threw Kobe under the bus when he was a Heat. Don't bite the hands that feed u or u'll end up in China. The kid sucked and got lucky to play with Kobe. He should be thanking him.

Smush's two seasons as a Laker are MUCH better than the last 2 years by Fisher (go check the stats). Just saying...

We had big problems on those teams but Smush was pretty productive. SF, Center and bench play were the issues we had back then..

Kobe needs to STFU about Smush or start calling Fisher out

Derek Fisher has it made.

He throws up crap all year, plays horrid D, has no effect on games and then get a lucky shot or two and now all of sudden he's clutch and

First off you're an idiot that isn't respected here or on Lakersground. Second of all, Smush called Kobe out first and Kobe is just continuing to sh!t on him cause he can. Third off all, Smush's best year was never as good as Fisher's worst year. It's not all about stats idiot. I don't even like Fisher like that but you're so stupid that you think Smush was productive. If he was productive, he wouldn't be out of the league right now.

On the court, there is an argument to be made for Smush. Play wise, Fish may be one of the worst starting PGs in the L.

But, yes, he's very clutch & a leader. Not a goofer like Smush.

His relationship with Kobe > *
