Magic announce 'Commitment to the Past' - will honor Jeff Turner and Pat Williams
The Orlando Magic announced today that Jeff Turner and Pat Williams will be honored by the team during their “Commitment to the Past” nights this season. The program, aimed at embracing its history and the team’s former players and staff, began during the 2005-06 campaign by recognizing Nick Anderson, Dennis Scott and Scott Skiles.
Turner will be honored on December 9 (Orlando vs. Philadelphia, 7 p.m. tip) and Williams will be honored March 23 (New Jersey, 7 p.m. tip)
During the respective games, the Magic will recognize Turner and Williams with a video tribute, on-court presentation, and by unveiling a permanent banner on the arena concourse. Other activities will be part of the festivities, including fan interactive elements and appearances on game broadcasts. The Magic will wear Hardwood Classic black pinstripe uniforms as well.
