Default Dancing helps improve your game?

Is it true that dancing really helps your game? I saw on ESPN some NFL player used dancing as a rehab and it really helped him. Will the same apply for basketball?

Its effective if you really want to do it.. its just like buying a game that you dont wanna play... he was prolly dedicated and passionate bout the rehab-dancing... so here, you just cant start dancing and get your groove on no..

He prolly had other ways that helped him too, and plus you gotta be committed to the things that your going to achieve in the future ...

Nothing helps more than working on your game. There are all different kinds of tricks/items that people think will help them get better (Power Balance, jump soles, instant vertical leap programs), but in the end the best way to improve is the simplest: work on your basketball game with nothing but the ball and court (and weights).

I could see it helping your footwork in the post or even in general but unless it's something you want to spend time doing you'd be better off just spending that time working on your game

if you are exhausted or mentally tired from playing bball

then doing something else that can take your mind off for a while then yes

dancing will probably improve your overall body coordination, flexibility, rhythm.

just don't dance more than you play ball LOL

To be honest, as a dancer I always felt I had no sense of rhythm or movement. Then, one day while playing basketball I came to the mini-revelation that there's a lot of moves in basketball that are dance-like in nature. I said, "Shoot, if I can do this on the court, I can bust something out on the dance floor."

I'm still an absolutely wretched dancer.

Yea like what Im saying is if you dance and dance well won't that translate to the bball court. Your moves will be smoother, effortless and more effective. And your body probably functions better. Im saying this because after a night of partying, dancing and what not I just feel smoother on the court. Maybe its just me.
