Default Pistons HOT lately! They beat Magic, putting up wins

Pistons ride strong shooting to win over Magic -- The AP reports: Tracy McGrady, Tayshaun Prince and Austin Daye each scored 20 points to lead the Pistons’ attack. Detroit scored 26 points off 16 Orlando turnovers and shot 50 percent from 3-point range to earn its first victory of the season over the Magic. Rodney Stuckey, who replaced Hamilton in the starting lineup, and Ben Gordon each had 16 points. McGrady and Stuckey bounced back after shooting a combined 4 of 20 in the win over the Suns... Reserve Ryan Anderson had 21 points and Dwight Howard added 20 points and 16 rebounds for the Magic, who went 7 for 27 from 3-point range. There were also lapses on the defensive end that have become a recurring theme in recent Magic losses.

I knew Detroit had enough on the roster to be competitive for the 8th seed. Right now I think they're a couple of games out. I knew they weren't the worst team in the league like many were saying at the start of the season. With that said, I kind of wish they were. It's so hard to become a good team again when you're mediocre. You don't get the good draft picks to turn things around (that even finally worked for the Clippers....) and you don't have the cap space for a big time FA. Plus we have a coach that players don't like and it's well known around the league. I can't see a big time FA wanting to come to Detroit, unless behind the scenes they know Kuester isn't going to be around long. Why is it Detroit can't seem to get a coach that fits? We've been though Brown, Saunders, and then they had a chance to get someone decent and we still ended up with Kuester...... I'm glad to see McGrady playing better. It would be nice to see him finish up his career on a good note. Anyway, I expect Detroit will hover right around where they're at now. As a fan I like to see them win, but there's a part of me that would rather have a higher draft pick, even in a weak draft class.....
