It's do or die for Spoey. If he fails to win the chip, he gets axed ASAP and Riles replaces him That's also the vibe that some of my Heat employees pals have been hearing lately. Leh go Spo!!!

I don't think so. Maybe they'll bring in Doc next year once he finishes his contract with Boston.

That's a good point and an interesting one as well. On one end I want Van Gundy but then that means Spoelstra would have to lose. Hmm

Just giving this a bump. If Spo has only one year to make this team work then there are 4 coaches aside from Pat Riley who could take over next year.

1. Jeff Van Gundy (not coaching)
2. Larry Brown (recently resigned from the Bobcats)
3. Doc Rivers (lats year with the celtics)
4. Phil Jackson (last year with the Lakers).

Jeff Van Gundy is a Riley Protege and he has experience in the finals. but unlike the other 3, he has no championship. And the way Jackson was picking on Spo earlier, it seems the coach with the most championship and I think the luckiest coach in the NBA maybe interested in another chemistry project next year.

Just a thought, no basis for it tho!

I don't like how he rarely high fives the players. I could be wrong, but his body language on the court has always been more as a reserved coach than a player-friendly guy like Doc Rivers.

Oh well, whatever we're on a roll, after losing the Mavs again we've beaten Phoenix and LA. Let's see if we can make it to the New Year without another loss.

At this point a dumb question. I do not see DWade, LeBron and Bosh going on any losing streaks. Eric Spoelstra's job is in no danger. As for coaching in the playoffs... time will tell.
