Bargnani has accepted that role and has run with it so far.
Fun fact: Kleiza is averaging one less RPG less than Andrea. In about 10 mins less per game. He has more rebounds (6.2) per 36 minutes than Andrea (5.6).
I'd never wish such a bad injury on anyone, but this is actually a nice development for TO's tanking chances.
At least this gives Colangelo a good reason why the Raptors have been so bad.
When someone asks him next year "what went wrong?", it's obvious that the prize signing from the offseason being injured was a devastating blow that the team just couldn't recover from. Injuries to other integral core pieces like Sonny Weems hurt too. You can't predict who will be injured and the 10/11 Raptors are clearly just a victim of bad luck.
Oh and integrating <insert number> of new players into the system. That's a good one that we can reuse.

Those league leading 150+ man games lost to injury is a nice one to throw in too.
Raptors players play through injuries too much.
Kleiza, Calderon, Bayless, Barbosa, Weems, Amir, Bargnani... most players in the roster take some rest then play again then more rest... why don't they rest all they need and come back 100% healthy?
And Ed Davis, Reggie Evans... is the physical preparation all right?
I read Barbosa may play tomorrow. That's a serious threat to the tank!
Our long term investments are looking better by the day. A battered up Barbosa with a player option for next year, 3 more years of Kleiza a guy who was not doing well for us anyways and now is having a very major surgery, a perennially injured Calderon and a 7 foot shooting guard.
