Default Here we go again: Sources Howard has eyes on LA or NY

Quote:
Howard has his eyes on Los Angeles and New York, sources close to him have insisted for months, and nothing short of championship basketball may be enough to compel him to re-sign with the Magic.

Amare + D12 =

That combo would be much better then Lebron and Wade

That may be true but you know as well as everyone else that if the Magic underachieve and the Lakers have even a slim chance of being able to pay him the chances are he's going to sign in LA.

With Kobe and Gasol's huge contracts and the new CBA, how would the Lakers be able to even sign him? Bynum's injury history wouldn't convince Orlando to do a sign and trade with them and they wouldn't take on anyone else. I'm not even sure, they would bother taking Gasol if they were offered him. Knicks might be a different story, but he'd still have to take a paycut and he'd be their 3rd highest paid player.

If Howard was somehow able to join the Lakers, I think that would actually be more of a shortcut then what Lebron did.

Depending on the new CBA it will be almost a guarentee that he will need to take a pay cut with either team. The question is, how much is he willing to sacrafice.

Another star who couldn't handle the pressure and wants an easier path like Lebron, Melo and supposedly CP3. Hand the league to competitors like Durant, Rose and Blake Griffin. Fortunately those 3 have the future of the NBA secure while pretend superstars/winners like Howard, Lebron and Melo act like spoiled kids who can't win titles so they quit.

Whose coming off the bench? Howard and Bynum both play center. lol

He should stay in Orlando.

At this point, I'm not sure you can totally blame Lebron for leaving seeing how bad Cleveland is now without him. He shouldn't have done the "decision" and I also think he chose an "easier path" by joining someone else's team who is arguably just as good as him, but I don't think you can blame him for leaving Cleveland. Same goes for Melo and CP3. There is not much indication that either Denver or NO is on their way to a championship, and both teams have gotten out of round 1 ONCE since they've been there. Plus Melo's reasons seem to have more to do with other things besides winning. Can't really blame them.

Obviously the Lakers. He wants an easy path like Lebron. Dwight has already expressed jealousy towards the attention Blake is getting in interviews too.

Doesn't matter. Look how many HOF players didn't win rings. Shouldn't be a ring chaser. I can understand if the team was terrible but both Cleveland and Orlando had been to the finals and deep playoffs many times and Denver to WCF. Meaning they just need 1 more piece, to improve and maybe some luck. I think Lebron set a very bad example for the league and Melo is doing the same thing by saying "I'll only accept a trade to NY". No wonder people don't look up to athletes anymore. I'm a 24 year old and see a clear disrespect to the league with these actions. Not like I'm old school. They need to suck it up... improve their game and lead the team to a title. If they can't do that... wait for more help. If that doesn't come... you start ring chasing in your late 30's well past your prime.. when it won't be quitting.

wouldn't be surprised if and when he leaves the Magic. It's a sorry franchise that isn't going anywhere.
