While I do agree Walsh should be making the decisions and is smarter than Dolan, I do think Walsh is making the mistake of overvaluing his players (like Pritchard did) and to think that any of the Knicks role players are untouchable for a top 5 player is absurd. That being said, Dolan has like zero negotiating skill (it seems at least, we actually don't know what's rly going on).

Carmelo Anthony is informing those close to him that he will not sign a contract extension if he is traded to the Nets, according to a person aware of Anthony’s preference.

“Mikhail has not met with and has no plans to meet with Carmelo Anthony,” the spokeswoman, Ellen Pinchuk, said in the statement.

Well, Denver wants NJ's trade way more than NY's, since it's much better. Everyone here knows that. The only real question is, does Melo want to go to NJ?

That's what I figured too, but NJ does have cap space. I think if NJ already moved to Brooklyn, that it'd be a different story here.

Amar'e and a fast paced offense that Melo's stats will shine in is probably too big of a draw for NJ to overcome.

if Melo goes to NJ that's career suicide. Would be better to just stay in Denver if it comes to that.

NJ killed Vince Carter's career and it will do the same to Melo.
