Default The Trades Are Over - Who Are the Buyout Candidates?

So now that the whirlwind day is over and we are left to mull over the trades that occurred today, I was wondering who you all feel will be buyout candidates.

If you list someone, give a reason why you think the person is a buyout candidate. Think like and owner/GM.

Ready... Go!

@STEIN_LINE_HQ Buyout near-locks: T. Murphy, T.J. Ford, Jared Jeffries, Kapono. We'll see on Przybilla. Mike Bibby? Harder w/extra season left on contract 53 minutes

Przybilla is interesting.. lotta teams could use him. Lakers are supposedly interested in Kapono.

Baron has like 3 years left on his contract, he's not getting bought out. His only way out is retirement.

Also, I'd like to see the Bulls sign Mike Bibby as a backup PG to Rose.

I really see the Bulls ending up with Rip,it has to be the reason they didnt make a move for a scoring 2,plus he's perfect for them...

Its going to be interesting to see who comes out in the wash... Many teams have roster spots to add a player or two....

Jason Kapono will be bought out. And some title contender will scoop him up. He literally rides the bench.

This. But so could Miami. Pryz would probably start on either team and have a shot at a title.

Miami could also use Bibby, and maybe New York, LA and Chicago would want him. Same teams for TJ Ford, I'd assume...

Murphy is most likely ending up in Boston. Although he's def gna consider Miami. There's also the somewhat possible notion that Sheed comes back and plays for Boston, Miami or NY (that would be so many techs!)

Jefferies could end up in NY, Dallas or Miami. And one of Cleveland's players (most likely Powe or Harangody) will have to be waived cuz of the extra roster spot.

Kapono makes sense for LA or Chicago. It'll be interesting to see if Rip is willing to take less money in a buy out to get out of Detroit, but my guess is he stays.

The trend is like it always is, veteran players on bad teams usually get bought out after the deadline and go to contenders... the difference is this year there seems to be a lot more talent being talked about.

I doubt Bibby gets bought out this year. I think the Knicks will get Earl Barron as a big to upgrade depth there.

I hope that the Knicks can also land TJ Ford.
