Re: Clippers Trade Baron Davis and a 2011 1st to Cavs for Mo Williams and Jamario Moon
So've the Baron Davis buyout talks started yet? They don't (can't, just can't) expect him to do anything good for the franchise, he was just the cost of getting a great draft pick and it's not like they'd be able to do much with the money he'll eat up anyway, not like they would've been way under the cap next year.
I seriously wouldn't be surprised if Davis got a buyout this summer and just retired.

This trade is getting more attention than Melo and D-Will. Anyway, to that guy ripping into me, I am not trying to down the Clippers. I am simply saying we got the better end of the deal. I think the trade would be a wash if the draft pick was not included, that is bonus for us. As far as calling the Cavs a bad franchise. Cavs.... 20 playoff appearances in 40 years, Clippers...... 7 playoff appearances in 40 years. I'm just sayin.

Wait, Cleveland still has Lebron's trade exception right? Deal a pick to Charlotte for Gerald Wallace (he's still a Bobcat right?) and give them immediate cap savings.
Davis/Harris?/Wallace/Jamison/Hickson. Then next year get Varejao back and have most of those guys on expiring deals/option years. That's...something to hold them over until they line up all their contracts to expire the same time for the most part and Jared Sullinger to take over the team.

What's scary to me is that I did this exact same trade on my association on 2k11....but my opinion is that both teams got a good deal out of it. Hopefully we can use that exception to get a wing player like gwallace or sjackson and turn those draft picks into quality players

We still have all of the huge exception and I hope we could turn it into Jackson or Wallace. And we now have two shots at drafting sullinger, we need that kid.
