Default The Heat can beat the Bulls in the playoffs if Wade guards Rose full-time.

I don't care if Wade only averages 16 ppg in the series, and LBJ has to score 35. Wade has done a very good job of containing Rose when he has played him. But, you can't wait until the game is in the balance to make the switch. Because Rose kills Chalmers off the dribble, and during those stretches the Bulls go on runs. Chalmers is great for getting hands on balls and pesky, roaming of passing lanes. But, he can not stay in front of any opposing PGs, much less someone like Rose.

maybe wade from 2005. Wade now is no longer great individual defender. he won't be able to stay in front of rose or contest rose's shots

This is one thing I never understood with so called 'elite defenders' that are also superstars, maybe if they actually defended the opposing team's best player for most of the game they would not be put in that tight situation near the end of the game.

Bad for the heat, wade will spent too much energy on defense, the heat needs him to contribute on offense.

This. And Wade would have to rely on help D, which the Heat are hit or miss at. One person can not shut Rose down, it takes a team effort...especially at the end of games.

I wouldn't do that. That's when the shooters get open. I would let Wade check him straight-up. Almost every time he's done it this year, the result has been positive.

I would sacrifice Wade's offense for the series potentially (but that might not even happen)....

This is crazy. Nobody in the league can guard rose. How you gonna base this on like 2 possessions?
