mananmater is starting to rub some people the wrong way
Default The heat are cooling down, lets helpem heat back up again.

Well I havent posted on this forum in a long time but im hearing this and that about what the heat lack and these people just dont know what there talking about, its seems like some of them just left juvenile land.

First lets debunk any myths about what the heat lack in terms of players and abilities.

1. center, this ones a head scrater, since when is erick dampier or magloire and anthony not good centers, do you who say this understand that michael never had a center anywhere near as good as dampier on his team(although he was a decent center) i can name other teams but lets move on, that statement is downright foolishness, anything more than what they have is honestly being greedy.

2. point, another silly statement, they have plenty of good points, if they could get deron williams who doesnt care about points and is excellent in opening up players goodness this team would be candy, but thats a fantasy, as the nets would make them give up one of the big three, they are perfectly fine with what they have, mike bibby, an excellent 10 point 8 assist per night player with solid defence, mario chalmers who has quick feet, and eddie house who shoots a solid 3 point shot, anything else would again be being greedy.

3. lebron has a poor post game, ?????????? if this were true he wouldnt have made it to the league, it was lbjs shooting that was criticized in his early days, although its improve by leaps and bounds, but his post game is what made him who he is, that statement comes straight from a really young person.

4. They have no good plays, well lets look at this, offensively miami is near perfect, that leads us to the other big problem which is their defense;

This is the team miami could be: allow no team to score more than 100 points, score 100 plus per night for 60 games in a row, allow no more than 15 points in the fourth quarter, make sure only the best teams have close games with miami, and even then it shouldnt be any closer than 5 points, make sure 55 games have a 5 to 10 point score advantage most of the game, and more importantly allow no more than 2 out of 5 attempts, all below the perimeter, to be converted, thats damn good defense.

Now in here lies miami's problem, defense, defense, defense, miami must stop allowing close games to enter the 3rd and a half quarter, stop allowing come backs, second chance shots, and do not underestimate any team, stop allowing paths to be open up because of poor court awareness where guards like rose and rondo are expert at taking advantage of, stop allowing too many 3 point shots being fired, which is another downfall, if we could take back all the games which we allowed comebacks or the close games we would have the best record in the league, its these fallbacks thats a concern, stop playing when the clock hits 0:00 and the games over, this is what miami needs to learn, and for all you who think little erick is alone, hes in good hands and being mentored, he will be okay. I believe they will fix these problems by the end of the season, I also believe this is not a finals season for them, that belongs to boston and the spurs, but next year, if they fix these problems which they eventually will, the heat will be good like crazy.

I notice a lot of people expected too much too soon out of the heat, this is the first year of something being done that has really never been done before, so give it some time, and let them work on that defense, next year miami will probably win 70 plus, and with full strengh(40+ points from bench, bosh having higher point games) maybe 75 plus, but they must have the defense to secure the claims, its the 4th quarter where miami needs to shut the game down, once they perfect this(and oh they will soon)they will be a dreaded team. Lebron James is the best player in terms of individaul abilities in the nba today,and has been for the past few years now, one on one nobody can beat him or really even slow him down as he can go beyond the perimeter for guys like shaq and perkins and gasol, while for anybody smaller its scary trying to guard him, he must be doubled team and hope thats effective: a 6 foot 9 260 pound man who is as someone said "karl malone with the movement and hops of michael jordan" (dont get confused hes not close to michael,nobody currently is, its just an example)is a force to be reckoned with, but miami with their solid bench and them learning to defend the " i won the game claim" will send them to multiple titles, and great glory. This year miami will probably end up 58 to 61 and 24 to 21 in the regular season, fear miami in the playoffs, seven games against a team like this will wear you out, much less when they perfect their defense. Give me your thoughts and be courteous.

fyi: no fans in south beach can be bothered to stay up so late to attend a game
better chance for someone in the crowd to get a heart attack than lebron nailing a game winner

Heat are offensively near-perfect?

Also, Longley and Cartwright were better than like 80% of the centers in the game today.

It's great for the league when they win. Know why? The Miami Heat CARE about their community. I saw the commercials.

Class acts.

Trying to make yourself feel better????

Dump it all on Bosh when you know deep down Lebron isn't a real winner and Dwade is just a 2nd fiddle now. And Spo to me is the worst coach in the league.

Heat007 = Excuse Factory.

dunking and driving layups are not a post game. his footwork is terrible with his back to the basket as is his suite of moves.

and yes, they have a bunch of older journeymen centers well past their prime and a d leaguer.
