They haven't released the region yet, it might be region b locked which means you can't play the movie on a normal Blu Ray player. Also, the price will be astronomical.
I'll update the thread when the information is released.
But seriously, that's a nice cover. ApocNow is usually very dark, the light colors is a nice change.

That looks fantastic, although you're right, it'll probably be expensive. I'm sure it'll be worth every penny though, anything Canal + (notice the small "studio canal" on the bottom right corner") is involved in means superb quality.

wow some of you have a nice collection. I prefer digital copies though, just because i dont always have a bluray player wherever i go. Good stuff though. Some blockbusters had a preused sale, 4 for 20 i think.
I have Avatar in Blu-Ray, that's about it. I don't really care about Blu-rays much. They're more expensive, but I don't see a significant advantage. I watch DVDs and they work just fine for me.
I swear I'm not buying anything else that comes after Blu-Ray.
Blu Rays are more expensive [and not by much] because they're much better overall packages than their DVD counterparts. Most movies are remastered digitally making it a better viewing experience. There are more, higher quality audio options such as lossless 5.1 audio, and several director/actor commentaries. The amount of extras is ridiculous since a BD is 50 gigs and a DVD is 5.
A BD allows for higher quality everything. Studios are also releasing special, anniversary and "ultimate" editions that include never before seen deleted scenes, NEW commentary, behind the scenes documentaries, several versions of each film such as theatrical and directors cuts, and high quality BD packaging. You're also getting collections that have never been available before in one place like Back to the Future and several others.
AND, if you're smart about it and pre-order new releases, you're getting a really cheap price [most of the time cheaper than the DVD] that's locked in and actively saving you money. Huge collections for 50% off on release day. And a week later the price blows up again. You'll have to wait several years for the price to lower.
Anyways, for a videophile and movie buff, BD's are as good as it gets. You're not going to see a new technology for at least a decade. And then what? Are they magically going to find more deleted scenes or unreleased stuff? What else can they release? I understand it doesn't cover NEWER releases that have yet to see 10 or 25 year anniversaries, those will be great.
