I got 1 Blu ray DVD had a PS3 at the time... The film was Inception...
I hated it.
It was really choppy any just overall annoying to watch. I couldn't tell the difference other than I thought its soul purpose was to try and give me a seizure...
Could just be ps3 has bad blu ray or maybe inception has bad blu ray or maybe blu ray doesnt handle action well...
IDK i didn't enjoy it.
This probably was due to other reasons than the blu ray. What you ran into in the fact that the refresh rate on your TV wasn't working with the rate of the film
Film is shot at 24 frames a second. When projected each image is viewed twice (there is a shutter that flashes twice during each frame). These short image durations + a psychological phenomena known as persistance of vision is why we see motion pictures and not a series of static images flashing on the screen. Some LCD tvs have a 60hz refresh rare, or 60 cycles a second. 60 divided by 24 is not an even number so what you saw is known as judder. It's most apparently when the camera is moving or panning. There may be a setting on you TV to up the refresh rate. 120hz is now the minimum standard on good LCD TV's. 120 divided by 24 is an even 5. And with this setting motion looks smooth.
Received a plethora of Amazon gift cards from family so I just put in a large order:

Apocalypse Now Full Disclosure Edition [includes every version of the film to date]
City Of God
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
Dark City [director's cut]
Fight Club [10th anniversary edition]
Gattaca [special edition]
GoodFellas [20th anniversary digi-book]
Hot Fuzz [ultimate edition]
the Lives Of Others
