I'm not quite sure how the math works out on that one. Please explain.

The math is bad, it would be spending 100% too much.

My Blockbuster went out of business in October.. everything was so cheap. Of course I didn't have a blu-ray player back then though.

Did you check out the sale at least?

Also, the Deer Hunter was announced today. I've been waiting a year for this. There are several foreign versions available, specifically from Studio Canal in which the transfer is flawless. I almost considered paying the international shipping charges but decided to wait for a U.S. release.

Set to be released on March 6th

Yeahh I checked it out. I bought some 360 games, and looked around at the blu-rays and DVDs. BDs were like 15 bucks at the most and they still had some real good selection. The closer you wait till they close the store the cheaper stuff will get (a lot of good BDs were around 5 bucks) but there will be less selection.

Also, I just bought 2 new BDs today, The Dark Knight and The Mechanic

That's exactly what I'm doing to do.

Good idea. I'm not sure how much stuff will be there because a lot of stuff went fairly quick here and its not really that big of a town. Good luck on your BD search.

I'd really like to have copy of Little Children on blu-ray but it doesn't seem like they are/will make one. I guess it just wasn't a big enough movie? Too bad, I loved it.

I'm seriously considering purchasing a region free or region B Blu Ray player so I can start importing foreign SteelBooks. They're tin-boxes with the ink applied directly to the metal. They're simply stunning. I can't believe they aren't available in the U.S. Just look at these:

F*ck man. They're perfect.

Yes. You'd have to have a blu-ray ripping program that will rip the blu-ray to your hard-drive, then you have to have a program that will convert that ripped blu-ray into a playable digital video (I like Handbrake for this). After you convert it, you'd have to transfer it from your hard-drive to your tablet.

As far as I know the best blu-ray ripping program is AnyDVD...it has the latest updates for breaking copyrights on DVDs/blu-rays, but the program is to rip anything higher than a DVD you have to have a license key for it, as far as I know there's no way to crack/register it and have it rip blu-ray, which means you have to actually pay for the program straight up. i can use it for free because in trial mode it'll rip DVDs, and there's a program that will reset the 21 day trial if it runs out.

That really is a great movie. Excellent acting all around, great dialogue and narration. Maybe a little too uncomfortable for some becuz it exposes some ugly truths that lie within American middle upper class suburbia. Really grabbed me when I first saw it and still keeps me enthralled on repeat viewings

Some films I would rather have that grainy look becuz it adds to the tone of the story, specifically the '70s or early '80s when Hollywood became a little more grungy and gritty. I don't know if I would need an upgrade for TDH. Certain stories are better told in their original format for me, it adds intimacy or something if the story is more raw.
