they should but it would be hard to get rid of his huge contract.

they should do it this year or next year, it will be hard right now but after 3 years it will be impossible to get any value.

Even though it's been called crazy already, I think JJ would be epic on the Mavs. Marion's bad contract plus Terry's non guaranteed deal plus Domonique Jones and '12 1st. JJ,Beaubois and Kidd in the backcourt, bring back Butler and some cheaper guys for depth.

I wonder if they could've gotten Dwight if not because of JJ's bad contract. Just imagine if Smith could've gotten this guy to go to the HAwks. The Smith-Horford-Dwight frontcourt would be overkill.

I'm sure Magic would take JJ for Gilbert Arenas.

Not so sure about that. JJ's contract goes through 2016 with a whopping 25 million on that expiring contract. Shard's contract ends years before. When you are trying to rebuild, why take on the most massive contract in the league?

Lewis can't do sh*t on the court except to look at his bank account. JJ would give them a good scorer and good veteran/model for the young players. Him and Wall would be a great backcourt

Is Joe Johnson really a great model? He is an overpaid underachiever in my books. He is better than Lewis, but I think the Wizards should focus on drafting well, developing Wall and creating cap space. JJ limits their financial flexibility for years.

They won't trade him, and probably couldn't even get rid of him if they wanted to. That contract was a huge mistake. I don't think the Hawks can ever be contenders with a contract like that, no way they're able to sign another star. Stuck in mediocrity for the forseeable future.
