I'm hard pressed to believe that a 26-year old has lost some athleticism, although he's already played in over 600 games, tons of playoff games, and has played for team USA over the year. He has always played a ton of minutes, and never gets hurt. Not to mention, an endless array of off the court activities probably drain his energy.

I think he's lost some of his explosiveness. Not that much, but some. We all get old. There comes a point were you can't go all out all the time and have the same explosiveness in the 4th quarter/2nd half as you did in the 1st quarter/1st half.

Also when you sit and come back in, age and tired legs plays a factor in you getting warmed up again.

I think that lebron is still getting decent lift at the rim. He's just missing a lot of easy layups this year. The last couple of seasons he's been a beast a finishing with contact, even with his left hand. This year, he's not finishing at the rim like he normal does.

I think it's more mental than anything in regards to finishing close to the basket. All I know is he better get it together come playoff time. Also he and wade need improve their FT shooting.

Kobe doesn't drive as well or often as he used to, but he possessed actual SKILL that he would eventually be able to rely on. Can't say the same about your boy. It's gonna be fvcking ugly as he ages and can't just run people over for fouls.

It's called conserving. He knows he doesn't have to go all-out on this team every play.

You can tell when he's REALLY focused and assertive that he still got pretty much all of his explosiveness from years past.

Look at the games vs. the Cavs @ Cleveland, games vs Boston....games against the Lakers....big games in his mind......he looked fine and eveyr bit explosive as we're used to.

It's a matter of want to nowadays - is it really smart for LeBron and his longevity to shocase his athletisicm every game? No.

because he's on a team with Wade so opposing team WILL choose to clog up the paint in order to protect the rim and let Bron/Wade go for contested J's. That's the problem with both of them not being great shooters. is the painted area will be clogged up and they will pass it up for an open J for the soft Bosh to hit. Too bad Bosh plays timid and doesn't really roll to the basket, so it's a team that lives on jump shots, and not even 3 point shots.

they get to the paint a lot easier in the open court. not so much in the half court setting, hence why they struggle in the 4th.

and no, Lebron is still capable to do just about anything he wanted to last year or 2 years ago, it's just on a different team and still trying to figure out his role.

Because Wade is a better finisher. U can't have two guys finish with one ball.
