Who remember when Jalen rose was the Bulls' franchise player?
2001-2003. He was centerpiece. Even Jerry Krause was trying to drum up some ASG votes for him. Decent player, much respect to him, but hilarious to me that he was a franchise player

Jalen was a beast back then (well he was with the Pacers and @UM).
No one hounded him about worrying about Jordan's shadow either.
We were rebuilding obviously...no one in the Org. is going to say "hey this is the best we can do right now, I know it ain't much but still, spend your hard earned dollars to come watch us play sub .500 ball, kthnxbye!"
Re: Who remember when Jalen rose was the Bulls' franchise player?
Jalen was a very good player back then, averaging 23p 4rb 5asts in his tenure with the bulls but when your 2nd best player is Donyell Marshall your team will have problems
Re: Who remember when Jalen rose was the Bulls' franchise player?
He played very well. Put up about 23/5/4. But when Donyell Marshall and Marcus Fizer are your best players after him, you're going to have problems. These guys are probably 6th men on most teams, but on the Bulls back around 2002-2003, these guys were your go to guys after Jalen. The Bulls flat out sucked then. Jalen could have put up 30/7/7 like LeBron is now and they'd still lose most of their games. Most people underestimate how pathetic those Bulls teams were.

You just rewrote what I said but its nice to know we have the same views about Jalen on the bulls
Re: Who remember when Jalen rose was the Bulls' franchise player?
Thought he was pretty good when the Bulls first traded for him, then became so annoyed with his complaining and lack of defense that the only player I can remember being as happy about getting traded away was Ben Wallace.
Those were some bad times for the Bulls. Thank goodness those days are over.
