Wade's just a better all around playmaker and a great defender. It's not that hard to contain Dwight just put him on the line, and use penetrations to draw fouls. I mean even if Dwight was the better player, what difference does it make when he isnt even on the court due to foul trouble?

In before someone accuses me of homerism due to my avy.
you cant call him a better playmaker when your comparing him to a center, its like saying jordan was a better playmaker then hakeem. wade's a great defender? dwight is a two-time reigning dpoy and is always a factor on defense due to his shot blocking

From the 2010 season. And it's not one of his 2 best defensive seasons. If you look deeply into his body of work in every season he deserves 3 ALL NBA defensive 1st teams. He's only been on defensive 2nd teams which is a joke. It's a popularity contest not about skill.

and forget about the fact that he is the all time leader when it comes to blocks per game average for guards.

I think that "wade's a great defender" part was compared to Howard, chill with the stats. Wade IS a great defender it's easy to see that.

I know Orlando's defense relies heavily on Howard. But by the same token the Heat were Top 3 in the league defensively last season.. not many people know that.

And that Top 3 defensive team ranking had a lot to do with Wade if you look at who else was on that team... and if anyone watched the games.

I agree, Wade and Spo were the reasons for the good defense in Miami last year. Still you can't compare the defensive presence of Howard, or any other capable big man, to Wades...

D-Wade's the better player, but Dwight might be more valuable simply because he's a big.

yes I know the difference of what a great defender in the paint can provide.

But knowing all that, I take the guy that can penetrate and get Howard into foul trouble knocking him to the bench. He's done it to him quite a few times before and is very good at getting him off his game.

He's useless sitting on the bench while Wade is playing both ends of the floor for 40 minutes making an impact.

Dwight has a whole team built around him. He might have even requested management to get rid off Gortat for more shooters so he can get more minutes, and have more weapons spread on the floor to pass it too. A pg who can get in the paint at will, finish efficiently and dish it off. This is the best team you can build around Dwight, yet this year they will fall short again. Wade on the other hand has shown when a decent team is built around him, what he can do.

Dwight is better. If Dwight had LeBron and Bosh, they would be way better than the Dwade's Heats.

Dwyane Wade's a better player.
But Dwight is more valuable to his team this year.

Dwight has improved a lot since last year, it's obvious just from watching him play and it's also reflected in the numbers.

at you overrating Dwight's cast and Nelson again. Dwight could use some smarter teammates who play better defense as well as a legit second option.

He had much better teams built around him in 2008, 2009 and 2010.

He probably doesn't have one teammate who are top 10 at their position, Jason Richardson is the only one you could even argue is.

This.

The over-rating of the Magic is getting absurd right now. The team isn't good and its not built properly at all.

Can't wait to see what dwight is like with deron williams or on the lakers or something. Hate watching elite players waste away.

Wade is not a sidekick either...... When you have two player of equal talent on the same team there is no sidekick.

Howard is a sidekick masquerading as Batman
